Just watched Stranded.
Im overwhelmed.
Great admirance for great human beings who kept struggling, fighting and hoping.
Most beautiful scene: the wind beginning to blow (whispering of the non-survivors Roberto Canessa called it) when surrounded in remembrance around the monument/graves at the Andes mountain. Goosebumps. . . |

Our class read the book Alive in our English lessons, and we think, that its a very touching story. Just now we finished watching the movie. The book and the movie was very intresting and good. We recomend the book to every other students.

This is such an incredible story of the human spirit. During the Worldcup in South Africa I admired the Uruguayan Football team and wanted to know more about their little country and that is how I stumbled to this tragic event in the Andes. No he tenido oportunidad de leer ninguno de los libros, porque aqui en Nicaragua casi no se consiguien, pero estoy segura que han contribuido a ayudar a mucha gente, a inspirarlas para seguir adelante y así mismo darse cuenta que DIOS y la FAMILIA deben ser lo primero en nuestras vidas. si la seleccion uruguaya há pensado en seguir el ejemplo de ustedes, lo há hecho bien, podriamos haber sido campeones, pero arriba de todos vimos un equipo, y ustedes asi lo han enseñado, estoy muy, muy orgulloso de mi Uruguay y su gente, que hán dado a todos un verdadero ejemplo de superación y capacidad que la humildad nos hácen vencedores.
a cada tanto miro las películas y libros de ustedes y cada vez los tómo como referencia en momentos de dificultad, mostrando como a vezes pensamos que nuestros problemas seamn gran cosa, enquanto no son nada si comparado a lo que uds hán passado.
dentro de mi posible, hago fuerza para mostrar el trabajo que uds hacen y lo quanto grande fueron, para que las personas reflictan sobre la importancia de las cosas.

When i was growing up, my father introduced me to the book which explained the ordeal that your rugby team went through.
Today, while watching the world cup match 2010 for third and fourth place between Uraguay and Germany, i am thinking of you. the score is 1-1 uptil now but i already know who won my heart, 26 years ago.

No creo que me alcance el lugar,tanto tengo para decir.Terminé recién de leer La sociedad de la nieve.Lo leí buscando respuestas.Y la respuesta me la dá Eduardo Strauch cuando dice que cada uno llegó a un lugar diferente.GRACIAS!Por compartir cosas tan profundas.Yo también tenía 19 años en el 72.Y todavía no hacía un año que estaba volando como azafata cuando cayeron en los Andes.Y,por algún motivo que no logro descubrir,no puedo parar de llorar cada vez que leo o hablo de este tema.Gracias otra vez |

Como muchos dicen, la realidad supera la ficción, claro alli no hay guion... los que no volvieron justamente cubrieronsu espacio dentro de este accidente, sus familiares deben verlo como heroes que lograron que los sobrevivientes volvieran y a los sobrevivientes mi respeto... son unos ejemplos de perseverancia...
