| On Wednesday 10th October of 2002 a plane took off to Santiago, carrying 14 of the survivors with an over 140 people delegation consisting of relatives, friends and members of rugby, football and hockey of the Old Christians Club as well as the under 15 rugby team of the Stella Maris School; to a life celebration at the 30th anniversary of the accident, going with the classic Friendship Cup which is played year after year since 1975 between the Old Christians and the Old Boys from Santiago.
